Presented by the Oklahoma Healthy Aging Initiative, this fun, interactive six-part series is designed for people with diabetes or those caring for someone with diabetes. Registration is required.
This class is open to individuals who are prediabetic, have been diagnosed with diabetes or think they may have it, and family and caregivers. Topics include risk factors, complications, nutrition, physical activity, use of a glucose meter, working with a diabetes care team and accessing community resources. Find out how diabetes affects your body, make sense of your blood sugar numbers, meet others who have diabetes, and have fun learning in a small group through games, activities and support conversations.
