Contreras’ debut novel "Fruit of the Drunken Tree" was a bestseller and garnered the praise of readers and critics like. A coming-of-age story set in Colombia at the height of Pablo Escobar’s rule, "Fruit of the Drunken Tree" has been described as dazzling, daring and poetic. For adults and teens.
