Join us for a nicho lottery box craft!
Nichos are a type of folk art popular throughout Central and South America. Resembling dioramas, they are made from common household objects and craft material and traditionally combine elements of various cultures. They are commonly seen and used on Day of the Dead altars in Latin America.
El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children's Day/Book Day), commonly known as Día, is a celebration every day of children, families and reading that culminates yearly on April 30. The celebration emphasizes the importance of literacy for children of all linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Sponsored by the Tulsa Library Trust and the Hispanic Resource Center.
