The annual All-Black Town Tour is headed out again this year to tour several of Oklahoma's historically Black towns.

The African American Resource Center and the Tulsa Library Trust present the 23rd Annual Historic All-Black Town Tour. The 2022 tour will visit historic areas of Redbird and Tullahassee and the Ft. Gibson Historic Site.

Shirley Ann Nero, distinguished historian, native of all-black town Clearview and board member of the Oklahoma African American Educators Hall of Fame, and Jimmie White, historian and founding member of the Black Heritage Committee of the Oklahoma Historical Society, are returning as tour guides for the trip. 

Bus departs promptly at 8 a.m. and returns at 5:30 p.m.; sign-in and breakfast begin at 7 a.m.

Departure and Return Location: Rudisill Regional Library: 1520 N. Hartford Ave.

Tickets: $45 each; includes breakfast, lunch and museum fare. Tickets go on sale on May 2; seating is limited on first-come-first-serve basis. Tickets are nonrefundable. No seat sharing. Youths ages 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult guardian. Purchase tickets in advance in person at Rudisill Regional Library via cash or check (credit or debit cards not accepted).
